A Bit Of Love...

Top: Dorothy Perkins
Jeans: Topshop
Shoes: Dorothy Perkins
Cardi: Marks & Spencer
Bag: Miss Selfridge

Happy Valentines day hunnies! Have a lovely romantic day whatever you do! My inspiration for you is cuddly and cute! I am never one to get all dressed up unless im going into town on a night out, so a simple date at the movies or a visit to the pub with the girls! I will usually go casual with some heals and a clutch! As you can see this is what I have done here! I think the black jeans give this look a more sexy edge as the colours all together are very innocent and sweet! This chunky cardigan is just the perfect add on as it means you can stay cosy in this horrid English weather and it just looks so great with some small heals!

So if you are still struggling with what to wear to 50 shades of grey tomorrow night, dress up your favorite cardi with some heals a clutch and a pretty top!

Thank you for reading,
Lots of love,
The English Rose!

Poppablue...

Top: Miss Selfridge
Skirt: Dorothy Perkins
Bag: River Island
Shoes: Topshop

Hey girlies!! I just had to share this outfit with you today! I found this skirt hidden away in my wardrobe, I originally bought it for summer but the colour was so lovely I was trying to make it work for winter! I never used to like having an outfit that looked a bit like a stripe! I always think the colour should either be on the top or the bottom but not in the middle if you see what I mean?! But I just loved the way this looked! Winter can get so boring with clothes, I am terrible in winter as anything black I buy.. As black on black always looks so classy! Though this outfit still looks incredibly classy, this skort looking skirt with the triangle detailing at the front is such a great look! Its not too tight or too short and the colour is just fab-you-lous!!!

And I hope everyone has discovered roll necks this winter because they truly are a god send in my wardorbe! just this plane black ribbed one is such a cosy fashionable add on to any outfit!

Thanks for reading,
The English Rose!

You Look Nice Today...

Tee: River Island
Shirt: New Look
Jeans: Dorothy Perkins
Shoes: New Look
Bag: River Island
Sunglasses: New Look

Hey Hunnies! I have a slight obsession with River Island's slogan Tee's at the moment! They are just so individual! I stumbled across this one a few weeks ago and I just had to have it! I mean who needs men to tell you you look nice when clothes can?!!! I think we know the answer to that one! ;)
Slogan tops go so well with an un-buttoned lumberjack shirt! I just think its such a sassy casual look! Especially when you add some pretty girly colours to the outfit like my lilac bag and pink plimsolls! Its not often I wear my hair up at all! But I just thought I would let the outfit to all the talking, Sometimes hair can be a bit of an accessory!

The Truth Behind The Name...

Hey girlies! Now I know this post is awfully different to my normal ones! But me and my family were clearing out my loft at the weekend and we found this book! My dad used to read it to me when I was little! Its about 4 girls at it says and then another girl called bianna who has no friends and then the eventually all made friends with her! The story line is fairly simple really but I just loved the pretty colours and the pictures in it! Its such a girly book! I still love it just as much now when I look at it! I even had a CD that read out the story.. Of course Madonna was reading it out as she did write the book!!

When I was trying to think of a name for my blog I thought through a few ideas of things which meant alot to me and eventually I decided on the English rose, as I had remembered this book from when I was little, the name just sounded right! So I named it 'The English Rose'

So there you have it, the reason I named my Blog what I did! Thank you for reading this post! And why not say a huge thank you to Madonna (not that she will every read this, but one can dream) for unknowingly helping me create the name of my favorite thing I own- My fashion blog!

Lots of Love,
Megan,

Snowspiration...

Jumper: Dorothy Perkins
Jeans: Dorothy Perkins
Bag: River Island
Coat: River Island
Shoes: New Look

After the snow we have had the past few weeks, I have been inspired to whack out my white jeans and team them up with something cosy! They are so on trend and white is always associated with summer! But if you think about it.. its the coldest colour on the chart! Looks fabulous with a bit of grey and pink, I just love it!

Fairy Cake...

Jumper: Dorothy Perkins
Jeans: Miss Selfridge
Shoes: Topshop
Bag: Topshop

Hello girlies! Just a quick post for today! As I am loving pastels as always, I thought I would share with you me newest jumper from Dorothy Perkins! Its so light and girly, I feel like a little angel in it! Hehe! The lace trimming around the hem just gives it that something extra! And I am all about mixing up my pastels so I just look like a giant fairy cake! I say fairy cake because the ones i make always have pretty girly decoration on them! I have just thrown on some more grungy jeans and shoes so my outfit has a mixture of looks combined into one! I find to mix girly lace with grungy leather makes an outfit look a bit more expensive and 100% on trend!

Thank You for reading lovelies!

Lots Of Love,
The English Rose.
